Welcome to NoorDeen (نور الدين) — a free, comprehensive Islamic companion app for Android developed by Ibrahim Tinku ("I", "me", "Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains in full what data the app accesses, why it accesses it, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
By installing and using NoorDeen, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the application.
NoorDeen is built on a principle of minimal, on-device data use. The app does not collect, transmit, or sell any personally identifiable information to any third party. No user accounts. No analytics SDKs. No advertising. All preferences stay on your device.

This section provides the comprehensive location disclosure required by Google Play's User Data policy.
NoorDeen requests your device's precise GPS location (latitude and longitude) via the ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION permission, and optionally your approximate location (network-based) via ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION as a fallback. Background location is never requested or used.

When location permission is requested: The app requests location permission with an explanation when you first open the Prayer Times, Home, Qibla, or Mosque Finder screen. You may deny the permission — the app will continue to work but prayer times and Qibla cannot be calculated without a location. You may grant or revoke permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → NoorDeen → Permissions.
NoorDeen connects to the following external services to deliver Islamic content. All requests are read-only — no personal data is ever submitted to these services.

NoorDeen does not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK, AdMob, Crashlytics, or any analytics or advertising SDK. The app is completely ad-free and contains no tracking of any kind.

All sensitive permissions (Location, Notifications) are requested at runtime with a contextual explanation before the dialog appears. You may deny any permission — the corresponding feature will be disabled but the app will continue to function otherwise.
Background location is not requested or used. Location is accessed only while the app is in the foreground with the relevant screen open.
All user preferences — language selection, calculation method, madhab choice, prayer notification toggles, and Quran bookmarks — are stored exclusively on your device using Android's SharedPreferences local storage mechanism.
NoorDeen does not operate any server, database, or cloud infrastructure. There is no user registration, no account system, and no data ever leaves your device to the developer.
When you uninstall NoorDeen, all locally stored preferences are permanently and automatically deleted from your device by the Android operating system.
NoorDeen is a family-friendly Islamic educational app suitable for all ages including children. Because the app collects no personal data from any user, it is inherently safe for use by children.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age threshold in your jurisdiction). If you have a concern, please contact tinkucu@gmail.com and it will be addressed promptly.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features or applicable regulations. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, a notice will be displayed within the app on next launch.
Continued use of NoorDeen after an updated policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
